Hello avid followers! haha

Well, my traveling will be over as of tomorrow. Very bittersweet. I have an idea.... all of you can just move here and then I will be happy... deal? fabulous. I am just going to post a picture of our completed project so I can go out on the town for the day. Sorry people.Cool news is that our projects are going to be exhibited in 4 places for a stone exhibition. Apparentally in Vegas! Heck yea America! The other pictures are from last night when we all had a group dinner together with Professor Perbellini's family. Hope I have found you all in good spirits and cannot wait to see you guys soon!

Happy Daddy's Weekend!

This post is going to be a shout out to my dear father on this lovely Father's day weekend! I hope you all have a good one and enjoy the time you get with your loved ones! Dad -- giving you a big hug from Italy and we will have to go to Furrs when I get back....:) I will never stop saying thank you for this wonderful experience and for your selfless love and generosity. I think people on this trip feel like they know you because of all of my stories and advice that start out "Well this one time my Dad said.....".  Happy Daddy's day!!!!!! (family you guys know the voice that was used! Love you very much!

I hope that you have a wonderful first father's day with precious Ian. You deserve it the world and you have it in that adorable child. You are a blessing to us all! It is very apparent how much you love Ian. Have a wonderful one and enjoy your day:) Can't wait to see you guys and spend the day with you!!!

Art Installations:
We went to a few art expedition in Venice as well as the Biennale exhibit. The Biennale is a yearly exhibit of either art or architecture. This year is art. Each country has a separate building that a famous architect form that country designed. Inside each one is an art exhibition by a well-known artist that refers to a theme . I have never seen art like this in my life. It gave me a new perspective on how to look at things. The detail that these individuals implemented was incredible. They took something that normally people do not think about and created a work of art that was symbolic by analyzing these instances.

My favorite was France. Sadly, my camera died. I will try my best to explain each part:
1. Be New-- The faces of 60 newborns are cut into 3 parts. They parade over the screen at high speed and are then recomposed to form almost a million and a half hybrid beings. Like them, we are physically just a puzzle of those who have preceded us. The eyes of one are juxtaposed with the mouth of another.

2. Talking Chairs: Chairs were scattered throughout the French Pavillion. When you sit down they ask, each in a different language, "Is this the last time?". Again, only fate can answer that question, which may apply to any moment in life.

We also went to San Giorgio. I will explain that installation later-- ABSOLUTELY loved it--look on the pictures.

Loved this installation! Started out with a huge block of clay and white walls and the vistors have created their own masterpiece.

My addition-- Do not conform to the pattern of this world, but be transformed by the renewing of your mind. Then you will be able to test and approve what God's will is-- his good, pleasing, and perfect will.--Romans 12:2

San Giorgio-- This was one of my favorite things that we have seen. This is all a play on air flow, water, and light. The installation is symbolic of Jesus assending into Heaven. The fans create a delicate airflow that can be disturbed by human movement--therefor, everyone must be still for it to work. At certain times a lit tunnel is created by the fans and smoke that is let out from the bottom. It was absolutely incredible to see in person.

Oh Venice. There is nothing I can say to describe this place. I absolutely loved it. I will go back to Venice as soon as I get the chance! The atmosphere in itself was incredible to me. I was surrounding by art the entire time and that truly made me realize how much I miss painting all of the time. So, I am going to start to paint on a regular basis again. Venice is literally a floating city. It is built on wooden stilts so that it can withstand the water. I did not see a car or a bicycle the whole time we were in this city, but instead everyone has a boat that you use to transport yourself from one spot to the next. We went to a lot of art exhibits and installations throughout Venice but I am going to post them separately so that you don't get confused by the vast amount of photos. ha! Here are some that are just describing the city in general. This was by far my favorite place. Again, I will come back.... hint hint

Okay....I will say it. The coolest concert I have ever to. Yes mom, it was at the Heineken festival... oopsies. However, it was incredible. I am a nerd and thought that the lighting effects were the coolest part. At one point they created a separate plane of light that mimicked the sky. From the hill behind it literally looked like the audience was under clouds. So cool! I got to see Jenni too! We had a lot of fun and I am so glad we got to spend a little time together over here!
