come se dice.....?: wifi fail.

[I apologize that this post has taken so long.... we are having MAJOR trouble with the wifi at the hostel, so feel loved that I walked to the library to send this to you guys]

Hello friends & fam! Hope your Memorial Day weekend was fantastic and you are enjoying the 100 degree weather. I hear it has barely rained in Lubbock since I left.... thats unfortunate. The weather forecast for good ole Verona is rain and thunderstorms for the next week. I am excited:) I do love the rain. I got to skype with LJ and Mackenzie last night, which was wonderful! I think Mom may have teared up when she saw her favorite daughters face on the phone.... tehe:) Yesterday we started our new project. This project consists of the design of a black box theatre and acting school in a site located off of the Adige River in Verona. The site is beautiful and of course covered with foliage. We will integrate the design from Sicily into a plaza for our theater. So, my thought process is to make the acting school a place of "fiction", the neighboring community and city the "reality, and the plaza a transition space between the two. That way the idea of blending the line between reality and fiction from my last project can be integrated into this one as well.

The last two weeks of traveling has really caught up with us all. We are all exhausted and are in continuous need of a little nap time. The last two nights I have gone to sleep early and just relaxed every night! I read 100 pages in the book that Mason's mom gave me, laid in bed after dinner and had a nice little slumber. Sleepy Carl is getting the best of us all Brad....as well as the tsi tsi fly. Hopefully I will catch up on sleep and get some energy soon!

We were supposed to go to Vicenza today to see the work of Palladio and many other famous architects, however due to the rain we will go next week. So sadly, we have spent another day inside. BOO. We should be exploring.... professors should ask me for my opinion more often ;). I do not have any great new pictures...sorry I took a picture break, so I will post some randoms for everyone to enjoy.

PS.... If there is anything specific that you want from my neck of the woods better start sending me your requests or I will run out of time since we are starting to work during the day. Don't you worry though, I am searching for souvenirs for you guys:)
